Ancient light bulbs

Ancient light bulbs
Ancient lamps - coal arc - Briton invented by Humphry Davy in 1809, Two coal terminals connected to the terminals of the battery giant. At the point of collision these cores were heated to white. When they were bred at a distance of 10 CM from each other, between them flashed a dazzling white light arc.
In practice, however, coal arc lamps were used only in 1831, when there were generators. In the 1850s arc lamps are introduced for temporary lighting of streets in London, Paris, Berlin and new York, and in 1862 the first stationary arc lamp was installed at the lighthouse Dungeness.
